UMACHA Gives Back
2025 UMACHA Gives Back Recipient:
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on building the bond between humans and animals.
The non-profit was originally formed in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, the organization has rescued over 30,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in the community. The Bond Between has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal well-being organization!
The Bond Between continues to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
UMACHA is honored to shine a spotlight on this organization and their incredible work in supporting our four-legged friends. - Organize volunteer days for UMACHA staff and members to support local charities, food drives, and cleanup events.
- Build a culture of giving among UMACHA staff by hosting internal challenges, fundraisers, or matches for employee-led initiatives. Celebrate and share stories of impact to inspire others to get involved.
- Partner with nonprofits to support causes such as financial literacy, access to technology, and housing assistance.
- Celebrate and acknowledge member milestones and community engagement.
Organizations Recognized By UMACHA Gives Back During Navigating Payments
Coinciding with our annual Navigating Payments conference, UMACHA selects a local non-profit to highlight each year. We encourage conference attendees to join us in supporting these organizations. Support may vary based on the type of non-profit being showcased, but all organizations benefit from online content engagement (like, comment, share, follow), monetary/non-monetary donations, and volunteerism.
